Day 1 Arrive Xinjiang
Arrive in Xinjiang and transfer to the hotel. You will have a free day to explore the city. It is an autonomous region located in the extreme northwest of the country and is home to the Silk Road and the huge Taklamakan Desert.
Day 2 Urumqi- Heavenly Lake B. L
Visit the Erdaoqiao Market, the Bazaar is the largest local style market in Urumqi. Then drive to the Heavenly Lake, which is a very beautiful mountain lake formed in the 4th glacial epoch. The altitude of the lake is up to 2150 meters above the sea level and got its fame as the “jewel in the crown”. You will have a cruise on the Heavenly Lake.
Day 3 Urumqi -Turpan B, L
You will have a full day trip to Mount Nan Pasture, The Terai Camp. Mount Nan Pasture is 80 kilometers from urban area where you can enjoy the sights of grassland; try the life of people in the grassland. At the Terai Camp, you will have a cup of milk tea and taste some really local food.
Day 4 Turpan B. L
Visit Suleiman Minaret, the biggest ancient pagoda existing in Xinjiang and the only Islamic ancient pagoda in the country. Then tour to the Grape Valley, it is a Grape Kingdom worthy of its name. You will also visit the Astana Tombs then the Tuyugou Great Canyon, which is the canyon with the longest culture and the most mighty and majestic natural landscapes.
Day 5 Turpan – Urumqi – Kashgar B. L
In the morning you will visit Karez Well and Jiaohe Ruins. The Karez Well irrigation system of wells connected by underground channels is considered to be one of the three great ancient projects in China. The Jiaohe Ruins is the only earthen architecture town that is the largest, the oldest and the best protected in the world. Then drive to Urumqi Airport and take flight to Kashgar.
Day 6 Kashgar B. L
Whole day visit the Lake Karakuli. The Lake is 3,600 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Maztagata Mountain. The lake resembles a glittering pearl embedded among the alpine peaks, reflecting the surrounding snow-capped mountains.
Day 7 Kashgar B,L
Today`s attractions include Id Kah Mosque, Sunday bazaar, Zhiren Street, Xingjian Minority Handicraft Center. Sunday bazaar attracts locals and merchants from all over Xinjiang and nearby countries such as Pakistan and Kirghizstan. Then take flight to urumqi.
Day 8 Depart Urumqi B
Flight to Urumqi and take your flight back. End of your silk road trip.
