If we book the Mutianyu & Ming Tomb Tour for Sept. 3, 2018 can we be picked up from our hotel? 5 will be booked at Beijing Grand Continental Hotel by 4th ring road and 6 from 7 Days Inn Bird’s Nest Stadium. If not what’s the nearest pick up station. Can we pay the day when we board the bus?

I do not think they accept alipay on the spot. Usually you can only use Alipay for online booking.

Only the Forbidden city needs pre purchase, but the booking system is in Chinese. You can also get ticket on the spot in the morning if you arrive early.

You can take bus Express 980 (980路快车) at Dongzhimen Bus Station (东直门公交站) and off at Miyunxinnongcun (密云新农村), change to bus Mi51 (密51路) and get off at Simatai Great Wall (司马台长城).

Or take bus Gubei Water Town Bus (古北水镇专线) at Dongzhimen Bus Station (东直门公交站) and get off at Gubei Water Town (古北水镇), where you can buy ticket to Simatai Great Wall. The bus takes about 2-3 hours and the ticket price is CNY 48 per person. The bus is available at 9:00 12:00 and 15:30. The back bus is available at 12:00, 16:00 and 21:00.

Hello, I will be travelling with a 4 year old that is approximately 1.06 meters. Are children that age generally free or discounted? I only noticed a few places that mention height discounts. Is there a student rate anywhere? Thank you!

    Hi,

Is there a way we can buy these tickets in advance or it has to be done in the counter?
Will there be a very long line?
    Thanks.

There is no place to buy ticket in advance. You will see long queue at hot tourist spots like Forbidden City, but most tourist spots are fine, you will get your ticket in a very short waiting time.

All prices are up to date. There is almost no change for the entrance prices in recent years in Beijing.
