Badaling Great Wall

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing 
Arrive in Beijing Capital Airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel in Beijing city, the rest of the day is free for you to explore the city.

Day 2 Beijing – Night Train to Lhasa ( Train T27 21:30 – 18:38+2 days)B.L.D
Today you will visit the renowned Badaling Great Wall. After about 1.5 hours drive you will arrive at the amazing Great Wall, and walk along the wall as emperors once did. In the afternoon visit the vast Tiananmen Square and the grand Forbidden City, then board the evening train to Lhasa with your Tibet Travel Permit.

Day 3 Train Trip
Travel on train and enjoy the beautiful scenes along the road. The train has a dining car in the middle part, which offers Chinese style meal and simple western style food.

Day 4 Arrive at Lhasa  D
The highlight of the train trip is on this day. In the daytime you will see snow-covered mountains on Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. You will arrive at Lhasa in the late afternoon. Our local guide will meet you and transfer you to hotel in Lhasa. The rest of the day is yours to relax and let your body adjust to Tibet’s high altitude.

Day 5 Lhasa B.L
Today you will pay a visit to the main tourist attractions in Lhasa including Lhasa’s landmark, the Potala Palace– the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism-  it was built by King Songtsen Gampo during the seventh century. Then visit the Jokhang Temple, the spiritual center of Tibet and then walk around the flourishing Barkhor Streetwhich is the most famous pilgrim circuit and a shopping paradise in Lhasa .

Day 6 Lhasa B, L
You will take a whole day tour to visit the Norbulingka Park, the imperial Palace of Tibet, then the Sera Monastery, one of the great three Gelukpa university monasteries of Tibet, here you may have chance to see the interesting “Buddhism Scriptures Debating” between Lamas. In the evening you will visit a local Tibetan Family.

Day 7 Lhasa – Xian by Flight MU2336 15:30 – 18:10. B.L
In the morning visit Tibetan Museum, in the afternoon transfer to airport for your flight to Xian City. Pick you up from Xian airport and transfer to hotel and have a rest.

Terra Cotta Warriors

Day 8 Xian B.L
After breakfast you will explore the incredible life-size Terracotta Warriors, which were underground army built under the order of the Chinese first emperor 2,000 years ago. After lunch, you will visit Shaanxi History Museum, which houses various precious relics dating from the Han Dynasty. After that transfer to the city center to walk along the featured Hui Minority Street to taste the local snacks and enjoy the market atmosphere.

Day 9  Xian – Luoyang  B L
In the morning take fast train to another ancient city – Luoyang. Luoyang the capital city of 13 dynasties. When arrive in the city, visit the Longmen Grottoes (Listed as World Heritage by UNESCO), one of the four famous grottoes in China. Then visit the White Horse Temple, the first Buddhism temple in China. Overnight in Luoyang city.

Day 10 Luoyang – Zhengzhou B L
Today you will spend a full day tour to visit the Shaolin Temple, the cradle of Chinese Kungfu. Shaolin Temple was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty in 496 A.D. The temple got the reputation of the “No.1 famous temple in China”. Then visit the Pagoda Forest, a concentration of tomb pagodas for prominent monks and abbots. Then overnight at Zhengzhou.

Day 11 Zhengzhou/Qufu B L
Drive to Qufu city, hometown of great Chinese philosopher Confucius. First visit the Confucius Temple which was originally built in 478 B.C for offering sacrifices to Confucius in different dynasties. Then continue to visit Confucius Family Mansion, the private mansion of Confucius descendants. After that move on to Cemetery of Confucius, the largest, the oldest single-family cemetery in China, containing remains of more than 100,000 of his descendants. Overnight at Qufu City.

Mountain Taishan

Day 12 Qufu – Taishan – Beijing B.L
Get up early and start your trip to Taishan Mountain (Mountain Tai), First take shuttle bus to Half Way Gate to Heaven and start climbing the highlighted section of the Mountain.(Cable car is on you). After you come to the summit of Taishan Mountain, you can have a overview the whole mountain. Rising 1545 meters above sea level, Taishan Mountain is the most significant of the five sacred mountains in China. Walk down the mountain and drive to Beijing directly and overnight in Beijing.

Day 13 Depart from Beijing
Transfer to airport for your flight back, see you off.
