This 9 days tour will spend several days to visit Qufu City, which is the legendary birthplace of Confucius. It also covers ancient city and capital Beijing. Besides, the holiest mountain Mount Tai will not fail to impress you.

“How happy we are, to meet friends from afar ” — By Confucius

Day 1 Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, you will be met by our tour guide and transferred to your hotel. You will be free for the remainder of the day to explore this ancient city.

Day 2 Beijing B.L
After breakfast we will start our tour from Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world surrounded by some most important buildings in the country. And then walk a few hundreds meters to the north to explore Forbidden City, which is home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. After lunch  we will head to the northwest suburbs of Beijing to visit the Summer Palace, one of the finest examples garden architecture in China, you will have a cruise on its Lake Kunming if weather permits (not available in Winter).

Day 3 Beijing B.L.D
In the morning you will have a half day excursion to the Great Wall of China- the landmark of China and one of the largest building-construction projects ever undertaken. We will drive 70 km north-east of Beijing City to visit the less crowded Mutianyu Great Wall, which features complicated and well preserved fortifications systems and fantastic natural scenery. After lunch, you’ll return to downtown and will visit the Hutongs by trishaw and drop in an ordinary family courtyard-style home for a tea break and talking with the familys. This evening you will be treated to a delicious Beijing Roast Duck dinner.

Day 4 Beijing B.L
Your sightseeing today starts from the Temple of Heaven. Located in the southern part of Beijing, it is China’s largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings. After lunch, you will visit Confucius Temple. It is the second largest temple constructed for Confucius, the greatest thinker and educationalist in ancient China, ranking only behind the Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong Province. Then you will have a two hours’ Chinese lesson to learn some simple Chinese characters with a Chinese teacher.

Day 5 Beijing – Qufu B
This morning, you’ll take a four-hour fast bullet train to Qufu, which is the legendary birthplace of Confucius; it served as the capital of the State of Lu during the Spring and Autumn Period. The major cultural sites in the city are all associated with Confucius. You will be transferred to hotel upon arrival. Remainder of the day is at leisure for your to explore Qufu city by yourself.

Day 6 Qufu B.L
Today you will have a full day visit on Confucius including Confucius Temple, which is the temple where the ancient Chinese emperors hold a memorial ceremony for the Sage; Confucius Family Mansion, the place where the eldest generations lived in; and Confucius Forest, the burial ground of Confucius family. Late afternoon, you will have a lecture about Confucius, which is made by an Confucian expert.

Day 7 Qufu B.L
Today you will visit Confucius Research Institute, the largest academic research centre on Confucius. After lunch, you will visit to Six Arts City, a theme park that displays scenes from Confucius’ life, as well as the thought and food culture of the ancient State of Lu. Then you will be transferred to visit Shaohao Tomb. Shaohao is one of the first of five emperors in ancient China.

Day 8 Qufu-Tai’an B.L
This morning you will be driven to visit Mount Tai, which is located in the centre of Shandong Province and is considered by Chinese to be one of the nation’s five “holiest” mountains. You should up and down with telphers. Afternoon you will tour to Tai Temple, which is the begging of the Mount Tai and where the emperor had the offering ceremony at the ancient days.

Day 9 Depart Beijing B
You will be leisure until your transfer to the airport for flight to Beijing to connect homebound flight. End of your unforgettable China Confucius tour.
