Huangshan (or Yellow Mountain) in Anhui Province, about 450 kilometers southwest of Shanghai, is one of the top scenic attractions to visit from Shanghai, Starting from Shanghai, the famous metropolis in China, this tour will take you to explore the highlights of Mount Huangshan and stay overnight on the Mountain to enjoy the sunrise. Besides, you also have the chance to walk into the ancient Hongcun Village and wander at the Tunxi Ancient Street.

Day 1 Arrive in Shanghai
Arrive in Shanghai and transfer to your hotel. Shanghai is the China’s biggest and most prosperous city. Its vitality atmosphere can rival New York and Paris in terms of modernity.  The balance is free for you to explore the city yourself.

Day 2 Shanghai – Huangshan by train B.L
Your full day Shanghai tour starts from Yuyuan Garden, which is a 400 year old classical Chinese garden in the Old Town of Shanghai. Then explore the Yuyuan Bazaar, where you can wander around imagining how the citizens lived in the 16th century when the complex was built. Then continue to visit Shanghai Museum, Its eleven galleries spread over four floors offer an artistic historical tour of China dating from as far back as 20 centuries B.C.E.. Then head to Jade Buddha Temple, the essence of the temple is the two jade Buddhist statues brought back from Burma by the Monk Huigen for Putuo Mountain during the Qing Dynasty. Afterwards, transfer to take the overnight train with soft sleeper to Huangshan (K8418/K8419  Shanghai  21:24-Huangshan 09:00+1day)

Day 3 Huangshan B.L
Upon arrival in Huangshan city, you will picked up by our tour guide from Huangshan Railway Station and have a breakfast. Then drive to Mount Huangshan for about 1 hour. You will take the cable car up to the mountain and enjoy stunning natural scenery. The main scenic attractions you will visit today are the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Peach Blossom Valley, the Lion Peak, the Flying-over Rock and the Bright Summit. All of these spots are the best part of Huangshan Mountain. Staty overnight in the hotel on top of Mount Huangshan.

Day 4 Huangshan – Shanghai (by train) B.L
Get up in the early morning and enjoy sunrise over the Mount Huangshan. Generally the sunrise time is as early as around 5:00. Our tour guide will let you know the exact time to view the sunrise.  The majestic moment of Mt. Huangshan’s sunrise is definitely worth an early get-up.

Hongcun Village

Then take the cable car down from the mountain and drive to Hongcun Village. Hongcun Village is situated at the foot of the southwest of Mt. Huangshan. It is a unique, buffalo-shaped ancient village where the Oskar-awarded movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” was shot. The village was established in 1131, during the Southern Song Dynasty. Many of the houses in the village have kept their original appearance. Then continue your trip by visiting Tunxi Ancient Street, where you can leisurely walk among the ancient buildings and look around to grab a bargain. You may enjoy your dinner in featured local Hui cuisine restaurant.

In the evening, you will take an overnight train with soft sleeper back to Shanghai.(K8420/K8417  Huangshan 20:45 – Shanghai 08:52+1)

Day 5 Arrive in Shanghai
In the morning, arrive at Shanghai and transfer to your hotel. End of Huangshan tour.
