Day 1 Chengdu – Leshan Giant Buddha – Mount Emei L.D
Leshan Giant Buddha
Pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu city and then transfer to Leshan Giant Buddha after some 2 hours’ drive. On arrival you will enjoy the breathtaking view of The Leshan Giant Buddha (乐山大佛). Carved out of a cliff in the 8th century and with an impressive 71 meters height, the Leshan Giant Buddha is the world’s largest stone-carved Buddha in the world.
After that a short drive will take you to the foot of Mount Emei and overnight there.
Day 2 Mount Emei – Chengdu B.L
Emei Mountain
After breakfast, you may board the cable car with your guide to ascend to the Golden Summit (金顶). There you will find yourself among a sea of clouds of 3,000 m above sea level. See the tallest golden statue of Puxian, standing at 48 m high.
Then go down to the Wannian Temple (万年寺) to have an insight into the unique way of life of China’s Buddhist monks. After that continue to walk down to get to the Qingyinge Pavilion (清音阁) where you will see some naughty monkeys who want to play with you.
Drive back to Chengdu in the late afternoon.
