Day 1 Beijing – Datong
Pick you up from hotel in Beijing and transfer to railway station for overnight train to Datong. 2602/2603 Beijing 23:42 – Datong 06:01+1

Day 2 Datong – Mount Wutai B.L.D
The tour guide will pick you up from the railway station and then have breakfast. Today’s tour begins with a visit to Yungang Grottoes (UNESCO). Created during the 5th and 6th centuries, Yungang Grottoes are the oldest one of the Three Major Buddhist Grottoes in China (The other two are Longmen and Dunhuang Goottoes). Continue your trip to the incredible Hanging Temple. The Hanging Temple got its name as it was situated on the cliff of more than 75 meters above the ground and it was listed in the “Time” magazine as the world’s top ten most odd dangerous buildings in 2010. After that you will have a 2.5 hours’ drive to Mount Wutai. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to your hotel.

Day 3 Mount Wutai B.L.D
Today you will enjoy a full day sightseeing of Mount Wutai (UNESCO), one of the Four Sacred Mountains in Chinese Buddhism and the earthly residence of the great bodhisattva Manjusri. Mount Wutai is famous for great numbers of temples, including some of the oldest wooden buildings surviving in China. Besides, Mount Wutai also features the beautiful natural scenery of the five peaks.

Day 4 Mount Wutai – Yingxian Wooden Pagoda – Datong – Beijing B.L
After breakfast, take a ride to the Yingxian County to visit the Wooden Pagoda, the oldest existing wooden Buddhist pagoda in China. The pagoda is a 9 story octagonal 67 meters high building built without using any nails. Later, transfer to the Datong train station to take train K44 Datong 13:40 – Beijing19:42 to Beijing, transfer to your hotel in Beijing. End of the tour.
