Day 1 Leave Beijing
Board on your train to Lhasa in the evening and start your Tibet trip.

Day 2 Travel on train
Travel on train and enjoy the beautiful view along the road. The train offers Chinese style and simple western style food.

Day 3  Arrive Lhasa (3660 m)  B.L
You will be met at Lhasa Railway Station by the Tibetan tour guide. After checking in at your hotel, drink plenty of water and have a good rest to adjust to Lhasa’s high altitude.

Day 4 Sightseeing in Lhasa B.L
After breakfast, our tour guide will take you to visit the majestic Potala Palace. The Potala Palace includes two parts: the Red Palace and the White Palace. The Tibetan murals and beautiful statues inside the palace are really worst to visit. Then you will visit the beautiful Sera Monastery where you will have an deep perception of the Tibetan Buddhism. Then continue to Jokhang temple to catch another glimpse of the Tibetan culture. Then wander around the bustling Barkhor Street to explore something interesting before back to your hotel.

Day 5  Drive to Shigatse via Gyantse (3900m) B.L
After breakfast, drive along the Friendship Highway, pass by the Khamba La Pass at 4794 m with a short stop to enjoy majestic scenery of Yamdrok-tso Lake and Nazin Kang Sa at 7252m. After hours of driving for 260 km, scenic Tibetan villages will come to view as you get close to the the town of Gyantse. Gyantse is famous for Kumbum, a magnificent tiered Kumbum of the Palcho Monastery, the largest chörten in Tibet. After you spend some time in Gyantse, after 90 km drive you will get to Shigatse, second largest city of Tibet.

Day 6  Sightseeing&drive to Shegar (4050m) 244km. B.L
First you will pay a visit to the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the second largest monastery in Tibet. Continue drive along the Friendship Highway and pass small towns of Lhatse and Gyamtso La pass at 5220m. As we reach plains, lots of monasteries and nomadic herders’ camps jump into your sight until Shegar.

Day 7 Drive to Everest Base Camp via Rongbuk (5200m) 110km B.L
After breakfast drive to Everest Base Camp via Rongbuk Monastery, which is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Nyingma sect and visitors can see Mount Everest from afar on clear days. In the end reach the dizzying heights of Everest Base Camp at 5200 meters, the foot of the tallest mountain in the world and enjoy the natural wonders.

Day 8  Drive back to Shigatse 350km B.L
After breakfast drive to Shigatse and overnight in the city.

Day 9 Depart Lhasa
After breakfast drive directly to Lhasa airport for flight back.
